Located in Mombasa, MDP is a vocational skills training centre owned by the Marianists of the Region of Eastern Africa since 1998.
It addresses the problem of unemployment, drug abuse, promiscuity and poverty among youth, often orphans and abandoned street teenagers, aged between 16 and 25 years.
MDP offers them not only job skills but also spiritual and psychosocial skills that equip them to either find employment or start their own businesses and hence make a better living.
MDP offers skills training in Carpentry & Joinery, Catering (Food and Beverage Production, Service & Housekeeping) Metal work (General fitting and Welding) and Hairdressing, Beauty and Massage. MDP recruits 125 students each year to join several trade skills courses.
